Hot news of how to be bad this summer comes from Erick Morillo and Subliminal Sessions with the launch of the Ibiza 09 season and the hot new Erick Morillo mix album, Subliminal Sessions: Summer 2009.
If you’re the kind of person who’s always been the receiver of gold stars for good behaviour, have always eaten all your greens and gotten eight hours of sleep every night, well… you would do well to stay away from a certain Erick Morillo and his legendary Ibizan party, Subliminal Sessions. It happens every Wednesday at the world’s most glamorous club, Pacha Ibiza and this year the theme is Be Bad!
‘At the end of the day when you go to a club, you go to lose yourself, you go to be bad. You go to escape, it’s about letting go of your normal life, letting go of your stresses, being bad on the dance floor. Subliminal at Pacha is about being BAD!’ EM
Erick and the Subliminal family return to Pacha for their 8th summer and with them, they bring a whole gamut of international guests. The season is launched with Erick Morillo & Steve Angello on June 3rd and appearances from Dubfire, M.A.N.D.Y., Dirty South, Mark Knight, Annie Mac and Funkagenda follow Subliminal has a varied and exciting line-up for every one of its 18 summer dates all the way to the closing on September 30th.
This year Erick will also showcase some of the DJs that originally inspired him. The people he considers the ‘Godfathers of House'. He has invited Little Louie Vega and Frankie Knuckles to join him behind the decks. And as always veterans Harry Choo Choo Romero, Jose Nunez and Richard Grey add their Subliminal flavour to Wednesday nights.
The Ibiza opening is followed by the album release on June 8th and, yes, there’s going to be a very special Ibiza album launch party at Pacha on June 10th. The album is quite simply the hottest mix of the hottest tracks, as sexy as the sexiest of Subliminal Sessions parties! Featuring plenty of exclusive tracks and six brand new Subliminal singles being released this summer as the label approaches its 200th release landmark. First up is Mark Brown and Juan Kidd’s Burning, out Monday May 18th and following that there’s a whole schedule to come including more 2009 mixes of Who Da Funk’s Shiny Disco Balls and Erick’s own track, I Get Lifted featuring vocalist Deborah Cooper.
If that’s not enough, Erick is back at Ministry of Sound London on Saturday June 13th , at Pacha NYC on July 3 then back to the UK again for Creamfields on August 30th.
There’s only one way to Be Bad this summer!
