As you’ll see we’re only on our 3rd release through our label deal with Defected, and already we’ve projected an array of styles. This is a key ethos behind the label – diversity. We want to release soulful songs, techier tracks, and deeper nuggets, to keep everyone interested.

We have also scheduled remix packages with the finest production outfits out there, from established names to the up and coming future heroes in our scene.

With that in mind then, out now is our trackiest package yet, the Smash & Grab EP,  which is currently available on all good downloads sites. It’s a nod back to some of the tougher, groove driven tracks that got us moving back at clubs like Bagleys and Club UK, where the raw, driving groove was all important.

First up on the EP is Rockin & Shockin, a sample based dancefloor destroyer. We’ve been feeling a lot of the work from the bassline scene, with pioneers such as Herve and Jackbeats making some really dramatic, intense music. We’ve taken inspiration from their bassline driven grooves, and Rockin & Shockin is an interpretation of that influence.

Next up is the Jinkzilla Theme. Jinkzilla is the name we’ve used at Jinks Inc to mark out the techier, tougher mixes of Jinks tunes. This groove which we actually wrote and produced a while back, has become synonymous with the Jinkzilla moniker, and it’s certainly the toughest track we’ve made to date! Purely for the peaktime dancefloors, this banger will have the dancefloors in a trance!

As you’ll see we’ve recorded a special mixtape for the Defected website to coincide with the release of Dynamite Muzik (catchily titled “Dynamite Muzik Mixtape”). We’ll be recording a new mix for every release, with lots of exclusive edits and tracks on them.

Next up on Jinks Inc we have a killer release coming with soulful legend Pete Simpson on vocals. ‘Make This Work’ comes with two mixes ; firstly, a soulful bomb where we’ve gone back to our roots, and then a tougher peaktime mix for the late night dancefloors. This must have package will be out at the end of June, just in time for summer, so keep your eyes peeled!

We’re also very excited about the new logo that we’ve had designed to commemorate the new era for Jinks Inc. We worked closely with Defected’s in house team (Big Up Kris!!!) and as you can see, the result is dope.

Limited edition T shirts will follow before the summer, and it’d be worth holding onto any merchandise you still have with the old logo on it, as it’ll soon become a bona fide relic!!
