Introduction

Following the success of Africanism, Faya Combo was created by DJ Gregory in late 2002, it's first release being 'Tropical Soundclash', which was subsequently picked up by Defected and went on to be one of the biggest summer hits of the year.

Faya Combo is is much a platform of expression as a record company , with all the releases produced by DJ Gregory himself. The label's productions, including Don't Know Malendro, 'Elle' (the storming anthem of Summer 2003),'The Joburg Theme' and 'Solaris', signify how versatile, emotional and ground-breaking a producer Gregory is.
