CHRISTMAS DELIVERY INFORMATION

To receive your order before Christmas please ensure you have placed your order by the following dates according to your location.

These dates are for guidance purposes only and are not a guarantee of delivery. Please allow as much time as possible to make sure you receive your order in plenty of time for Christmas.


14th Dec – UK- royal mail parcels

9th Dec – Western Europe

8th Dec – Eastern Europe, USA and Canada

2nd Dec – Rest of World

Your Account

To shop on our online store you must set up an account. This will give you a secure account area within the site which will allow you to see the status of your order and also download your MP3s

 

Digital

To buy just click "Buy" by the track or bundle of your choice and it will be included in your order, and available for you to download in your account at the end of the checkout process.

To download any digital tracks you have purchased simply log in and click on the "my downloads" link in your account. Tracks will be available for 24 hours after the purchase date.

Mail Order

There is no minimum order, so you are free to order a single item

Our physical fulfilment is handled by www.docdata.co.uk

All the orders that we receive are processed and dispatched within 24 hours

You have one delivery option: First Class Royal Mail Post. These will be presented at checkout stage.

Our format track listings contain audio clips for each mix to help you chose what you want. To order an item, simply click on the "add to cart" link next to the product and it will appear in your shopping cart. Your cart is positioned on the left under the menu. Once you have finished, you can review the contents of your cart and get a quote for the full cost of the order by clicking "view cart"

To guarantee a quick dispatch, we only allow you to buy items we have in stock. Where you see the 'Notify Me' button, this means the line is out of stock. To be emailed when the item is back in stock, simply click the button and submit your email address.

Postage and Packaging Charges

1. First Class Royal Mail (Standard Delivery)

UK: £1.75 for the first unit / £1.00 per extra unit

Europe: £2.80 for the first unit / £1.20 per extra unit

USA / Canada: £3.55 for the first unit / £1.75 per extra unit

Rest of World: £3.65 for the first unit / £1.85 per extra unit

 

We use postage units to calculate the postage and packing costs of each item. Because the mail system is based on weight, some items will be worth more than one unit. Outline as follows:

1 Unit = CD single, CD album, 12" Single, T-shirt, Lanyard, Slipmats

2 Units = Double LP

3 Units = CD Case 80, Sweatshirts

4 Units = CD Case 240

10 Units = CD Bag

15 Units = Record Trolley Bag

For example, if you order 1 x CD Case 240 your P&P will be £5.75 - £1.75 for the first unit and £1.00 each for the subsequent 3 units

The postage charge will be calculated on the order confirmation page

If you live outside the EU, you are responsible for paying all customs or import duty charges.

Delivery times

1. First Class Royal Mail

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL TIME FRAMES ARE FROM THE DATE OF SHIPPING, NOT FROM THE DATE THAT YOUR ORDER WAS PLACED. WE AIM TO DISPATCH ORDERS WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE ORDER BEING PLACED

From dispatch date, here is a rough guide to how long it should take:

UK: Approximately 1-4 working days

Europe: Approximately 4-7 working days

USA / Canada: Approximately 7-14 working days

Rest of World: Approximately 7-20 working days (depending on location)

 

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A GUIDE ONLY AND SHOULD NOT BE INTERPRETED AS A GUARANTEE OF DELIVERY TIME.

Depending on factors beyond our control (for example local delivery problems, and customs inspections/delays) this can take longer. Your parcel is insured against loss, theft or damage, so if you have not received your parcel within 28 days of your order confirmation email (10 days for UK customers), then you should contact us through our customer services form and we will refund or replace the order as required.

All UK items are sent by standard First Class mail. All overseas orders are sent by standard first class airmail. Unfortunately there is no tracking information available on airmail items. Once your order arrives in your country, it is passed to your postal service, who will deliver it to you in keeping with their standard working practices.

Please note that efficiency differs from country to country. Sometimes delivery can be very quick, sometimes less so. International Customs can also hold up a package, sometimes for no apparent reason, and in these cases there's not a lot we can do to speed things up.

We cannot consider an order "lost" until 28 days have passed since the shipping date.

 

Payment & Charges

We accept the following credit cards: Visa, Visa Delta, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro, Switch We do not accept American Express or Diners Club cards, cheques, money orders or bank transfers.

Your card will be charged on the web site at the point the order is placed.

As we are a UK based shop, all prices include UK sales tax (VAT) at 20%. We do not offer refunds on VAT for non EU customers.

 

Import Tax

If you are inside the European Union (EU) then you will never have to pay import tax and your order will go straight through customs.

Your local customs may add import duty/local sales tax to your order when delivering. Most countries outside the EU will allow small packages (i.e. less than 4 records/CDs) to be delivered without additional charges, but some countries will tax your order (usually at a rate equivalent to your local sales tax) when you receive your parcel.

If you are concerned about this, then you should contact your customs office for more information, as you (not Defected Records) will be liable for any such charges.
